Energy Sector
The Backbone of the Syrian Economy
Total Donations :
0 $The energy sector is a vital sector that forms the backbone of economic, industrial, and daily life activities in Syria. Without a strong and reliable energy infrastructure, no economic sector can operate efficiently, and communities cannot achieve stability and prosperity. The energy sector contributes to running factories and production projects, supplying electricity to homes and institutions, and supporting vital sectors such as health, education, and transportation. However, the long years of war have significantly affected the energy infrastructure, leading to frequent power outages and fuel shortages, negatively impacting citizens' lives and economic activity. Recognizing this importance, the Syrian Development Fund works to contribute to energy provision of all types and support and finance various energy projects that help rebuild power grids and secure sustainable energy sources. The fund focuses on financing renewable energy projects such as solar and wind energy, improving energy infrastructure to enhance local self-sufficiency, reduce import dependency, and minimize negative environmental impacts. It also seeks to empower local communities through training programs and creating job opportunities in energy projects, contributing to improved living standards.
